PropSquare LifeSpaces Management

Waste Management & Segregation Services

Mixed, unsegregated waste is the single biggest source of infection, odour, pests and fire risk in bin rooms and basements — and, under the Solid Waste Management Rules, it is now a compliance liability too. PropSquare closes that gap on your premises with trained housekeeping teams on QR-checklisted routines, colour-coded four-bin segregation stations, on-site processing for bulk waste generators, and monthly MIS that keeps residential communities, corporate offices and commercial sites across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai clean, compliant and audit-ready.

Benefits of professional waste management & segregation services for your property

  • Source segregation into four streams — wet, dry, sanitary and domestic-hazardous — in line with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 / 2026
  • Colour-coded, leak-proof bins with bilingual labels at every collection point, plus desk-side three-compartment bins for offices
  • On-site wet-waste processing for bulk generators via organic waste converters, vermicomposting or biogas plants
  • Authorised-vendor tie-ups for dry recyclables, e-waste and hazardous waste — with weighbridge receipts and manifest tracking

  • Delivered alongside housekeeping, MEP and the wider FM scope under one accountable contract — no juggling of vendors
  • Clean, audited waste-management takeover during builder-to-association handover or when replacing an incumbent vendor

Why choose PropSquare Waste Management & Segregation Services?

  1. One accountable partner

Waste management runs alongside our housekeeping, security, MEP, WTP and STP, payroll and compliance services — so there is one contract, one supervisor and one point of contact, not a separate vendor to chase.

  2. On-site compliance, not paper compliance

QR-checklisted routines, supervised shifts and a single point of contact mean segregation happens at the point of generation and issues are closed on the day, not just recorded in a register.

  3. Bulk-waste capability

For premises generating more than 100 kg a day, we set up and operate organic waste converters, vermicomposting units, biogas plants and authorised e-waste collection points, with the right vendor tie-ups behind them.

  4. Statutory strength

Crews are on our own payroll with full statutory cover — EPF, ESI, minimum wages and the contract-labour registers maintained and kept audit-ready for site inspections.

  5. Technology backbone

Jira-based task automation, QR-coded checklists, an IVR helpdesk and a digital monthly MIS pack give you proof of work from the ground rather than verbal updates.

  6. Transparent reporting

Landfill-diversion percentage, compost output, recyclable status and fine or notice status are reported every month, with a quarterly management review with your committee or admin team.

What we cover

The four waste streams

Biodegradable or wet waste, non-biodegradable or dry recyclables, domestic hazardous waste (batteries, bulbs, chemicals) and sanitary or special-care waste — each collected, stored and routed separately from the point of generation.

The four-bin system

Green for wet, blue for dry, red for sanitary and black for domestic hazardous — each paired with a colour-coded leak-proof liner and a bilingual label, with compact three-compartment desk-side bins for corporate offices.

Assessment & set-up

A walk-through maps every waste-generation point, a characterisation study measures kg per day by stream and zone, and a bin, signage, collection-route and shift plan is signed off with you before deployment.

On-site processing for bulk generators

Organic waste converters that turn food and garden waste into compost, vermicomposting for green-waste surplus, biogas plants for large kitchens, and an e-waste collection point tied to CPCB-authorised recyclers.

Authorised vendor tie-ups

Dry recyclables sold to authorised recyclers with weighbridge receipts, hazardous and e-waste handed to CPCB and SPCB-authorised handlers with manifest tracking, and sanitary waste routed to authorised treatment facilities.

Reporting & MIS

Daily tonnage-by-stream and collection-point compliance logs, a monthly MIS on landfill diversion, compost output and notice status, and a quarterly review with the RWA, management committee or admin leadership.

Residential and gated communities, corporate offices and IT campuses, commercial complexes, malls and retail, hotels and institutional sites, and industrial and warehousing premises across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Frequently asked questions

Is waste management covered under PropSquare's housekeeping scope, or is it separate?

It can be either. Most clients integrate waste segregation and bin-room management into the housekeeping scope. For sites that need an on-site organic waste converter, biogas plant, e-waste point or a full bulk-generator compliance programme, we run it as a dedicated workstream under the same contract and supervisor.

My premises is a small apartment complex — do the Solid Waste Management Rules still apply?

Yes. Every waste generator, whatever its size, must segregate at source. Bulk generators producing more than 100 kg a day have additional on-site processing duties. We design the programme to match your quantum of waste and the local urban-local-body bye-laws, so you meet the rules without over-investing.

What happens to the segregated waste after collection?

Wet waste is processed on-site through a converter, biogas or vermicompost, or handed to authorised wet-waste collectors. Dry waste is sold to authorised recyclers with weighbridge receipts. Hazardous and e-waste go to CPCB or SPCB-authorised handlers with manifest tracking, and sanitary waste to authorised treatment facilities.

How quickly can PropSquare mobilise a waste-management programme?

A typical residential or commercial site is mobilised in seven to fourteen days from a signed contract: days one to three for the walk-through and waste study, days four to seven for the deployment plan and bin and signage install, and from day eight onwards live operations with supervised shifts.

Do you handle e-waste separately?

Yes. For IT campuses, co-working offices and large residential complexes we set up an authorised e-waste collection point, run periodic collection drives and channel items to CPCB-registered recyclers with the documentation the E-Waste (Management) Rules require.

What about penalties if my premises is not compliant today?

The Solid Waste Management Rules 2026 strengthen penalties on the polluter-pays principle and let municipal bodies and sanitation workers refuse unsegregated waste. Most notices are avoided simply by segregating correctly at source and maintaining records — both of which are part of our standard delivery.
